Setup Proport for Shipping

Getting a proport ready for involves a handful of tasks.

Charge up the tablet for a few hours. Write down the serial number for tracking.

Tablets usually come from customer/factory nearly dead. A nearly dead tablet may not operate correctly. 3-4 tablets should be on standby just in case.

Create a Google Account for the tablet (delete the old account if present)

Normally when creating a Google account, you need a verification phone number. Using your Android phone (possibly iPhone) you can create a Google Account without verification. Set the credentials aside for a moment. Delete the account from your phone.

Change the background

Open a browser and go to http://bit.ly/1DnKOnB
- Save the image
  - Open, in the gallery
    - Set as background

Change the time/timezone

Go to settings
- Date/Time
  - Set the timezone to that of the merchant
  - Set the time, if not correct

Install / Uninstall the Tabpos application

If the application is already installed, uninstall it in the Settings > Apps Menu
Go to the Play store and download the application
Download Merchant with Financial credentials and Reg ID 1
