Merging a Category

Merging a Category

The system has the ability to merge attributes and classifications. This is useful once the domain has been in use for a while and changes have occurred within the business that required the categories to be adjusted. Either a new category can be created and existing categories merged into it, or an existing category that will absorb other categories that now fall under their umbrella.

In order to merge Categories with the another, access CAS>management -> inventory -> modify inventory and select Category and then select the Category that you want the other to merge into (meaning the other category become the one you select) and the following screen will be displayed. 

 

 Select merge Category and then select the Categories you want to merge into this primary category.
