Installing MYSQL 5.0

The following Steps will guide you through the screens to setup MySQL 5.0, if at anytime you need assistance please feel free to contact Live Chat Support.

Step 1

  1. Run the MySQL 5.0  executable
  2. Click Next to continue

Step 2

  1. Select Typical 
  2. Click Next to continue

Step 3

  1. Select Install
  2. Let install go through

Step 4

  1. Select Skip Sign-Up
  2. Click Next to continue

Step 5

  1. Make sure "Configure the MySQL Server now" is checked
  2. Select Finish to continue

Step 6

  1. MySQL Server Instance Configuration Wizard appears
  2. Click Next to continue 

Step 7

  1. Select Standard Configuration 
  2. Select Next to continue

Step 8

  1. You do not have to change any values at this screen. Check to see if your settings match the screenshot below.
  2. Click Next to continue.

Step 9

  1. You will need to enter a strong password for your Root User.  Please keep this password handy as you will need it after completing the MySQL Installation.
  2. Click Next to continue.

Step 10

  1. Press Execute to start configuration

Step 11

  1. Select Finish to close wizard
