Overview -  

The user can modify a department, category, subcategory, vendor, measurement units, conversion units, package item, post dated price, color, size, style, size brick, or bin location. User selects what is to be modified and each type selected will display a different list of names. User selects desired name and clicks find. He will then be taken to a screen that looks like a create screen for that option, but is able to modify the existing information rather than submit new information.

For example, the user can edit the address, phone, and email of a vendor, or the type, subtype, and tax structure of a department. Or if size is chosen, the user can edit the description of a chosen size.

The inventory settings consists of Classifications (Department, Category, Subcategory), Attributes (Style, Color, Size), Vendor , Measurement Units and Conversion , Package Items , Post Dated Price, List , Bin Locations and Reorder Configuration Setting s.

Select the Type of the inventory setting that is to be modified. This will return the appropriate list of items. Select the hierarchy to be modified and click Find.

This will navigate you to a screen similar to the screens used for creating the settings. After all changes have been made, select Modify to save the changes.

Access - Access to this function at an enterprise level is limited by default to the System Administrator and Financial users only. Accounting, store managers and  warehouse general managers may modify inventory settings at Venues or Store assigned to them.
