Below are the steps to setting up a Black Widow on a HotSpot.

Method:

1.       Set two separate Black Widows and two tablets following the normal protocol, utilizing a router that has the same UUID (name) and password as the HotSpot.

2.       Once the pairing is successfully completed, I ran the POSKITZ Test App several times on each to confirm that the Black Widows were correctly paired.

3.       Turn off both Black Widows (unplug).

4.       Turn off the router.

5.       Turn on the HotSpot.

6.       Re-connect the tablets to the router/HotSpot.

7.       Plug power cord into Black Widows. Listen for quick beep, then flashing orange light, multiple beeps, light stops flashing and then re-starts flashing orange. Takes about 40 seconds and light should show as green.

8.       Open and run Black Widow Configuration App from the beginning for both Black Widows. Find Black Widow, select, enter serial number, test Wi-Fi, save configuration, follow steps to confirm and save the Wi-Fi (I turned off and on the Black Widow). Check the “Device info” button and find and record the IP address on each.

9.       If successful with both pairings proceed to test app.

10.   Login to test app, select Base Configuration, [Select] the appropriate IP address-it will be different than previous (you should see two IP addresses).

11.   Back to Cashier and run a test transaction.
