Scenario: User uses installer and does not configure MYSQL 5.6 correctly, the app will not open and user will not be able to use retailcloud POS.
Steps to take:
- Go to Control Panel on your Windows Machine and uninstall MYSQL Server 5.6
- Uninstall everything with MYSQL on Control Panel
- Navigate to your C: Drive
- Go into Program Files and delete the folder MYSQL
- You will need to reveal your hidden items on your C: Drive because there is a MYSQL directory hidden by default that you need to delete
- On windows 10, you go on C: drive, From the top Toolbars select Views, check box Hidden Items, now you will see folder Program Data.
- On Windows 7, you go to C: drive, Choose , select , show hidden folders, Program Data
- Delete the MYSQL Folder from Program Data folder
Now you should be able to reinstall MYSQL without any issue.
