When you have transactions that do not include sales, you are able to run a miscellaneous cash transaction. The Reason Code would be listed in Misc Cash for you, whether it be for Cash Receipts (i.e. full cash drawer) or Cash Disbursement (lottery payout).
Use of Reason Codes:
Reason codes are helpful to crate dropdown options for misc cash transactions, both cash disbursements and cash receipts
Details:
For misc cash transactions, such as lottery ticket sales or replenishing cash drawer. This allows you to provide a customized description for your common transactions
The Cash Management report will display the reason codes as part of the transaction detail
