Merging a Department
The system has the ability to merge attributes and classifications. This is useful once the domain has been in use for a while and changes have occurred within the business that required the departments to be adjusted. Either a new department can be created and existing departments merged into it, or an existing department that will absorb other departments that now fall under their umbrella.
In order to merge 1 deparment with the other you go to your CAS and go to management departments with the another, access CAS>management -> inventory -> modify inventory and then select department and then select the department that you want the other departments to merge into (meaning the other departments department become the one you select) and the following screen will be displayed.
Select merge department and then select the departments you want to merge into the Primary Department.
