Merchant Account Set up

 

OVERVIEW

This section is used to create a New Merchant Domain on the Admin section of the CAS. 

Management>User>Merchant>Create Merchant

When successfully created the Merchant Domain # which was created will be displayed. 

 

DETAILS

To create a Domain at a minimum you must have a Domain Name, User Name,  and Status. License information is also required.  Mandatory fields are designated with an asterisk. 

Enter the Domain Name, this is the Name that needs to be entered as Domain Name whenever anyone logs onto that Merchant on the CAS.

Address 1 and 2, City and Country are for record keeping and basically the physical address of the Merchant.

Phone and Mobile numbers can be entered in any format.  It is advisable to be consistent in how you enter them (Recommended – (xxx) xxx-xxxx

User Name and Password will be what the Merchant's System Administrator will use to login.  The System Administrator will be prompted to change the password at the first login which we strongly recommend that they do so.

Industry - select the industry that most closely matches the merchant.

App Type: select Standard or Decimal. If QSR, select Standard and once account is created modify to QSR

Partner: indicate the reseller or source of the referral

Payment Gateway: indicate most likely payment gateway (multiple gateways can be selected). The selected gateways will be available on the domain's configuration options.

Merchant Status should be set to be "Active" and if the Merchant closes the Domain, the status should be changed to " Inactive".

Email should be of the Merchant's System Administrator and in the event the user forgets the password, they can request a new password sent to the email address.

Once these values have been set, the user Save the data and output would be a Merchant ID.  The Merchant ID is a unique number would be associated with that particular merchant and this would be used when downloading a POS 


Licenses: Complete all fields. All fields are mandatory (Use minimum of 3 licenses, 2 Positrak POS and 1 MobiTrak POS, as this is necessary for the default set up)

Total number of licenses - # of licenses merchant will need

POSiTrak POS - # of licenses merchant will need for WinPOS or TabPOS

MobiTrak POS - # of licenses merchant will need for a mobile POS

Updates: - All three sections should be identical to left side


Licenses Purchased On: Using the pop up calendar, select today's date, press ok

Licenses Activated On: Using the pop up calendar, select today's date, press ok

Licenses Expires On: Using the pop up calendar, select expiration date, after this date merchant will not be able to access CAS (this date should not exceed 12/31/38)

Updates: - All three sections should be identical to left side


ACCESS

Access to this function is at CAS Admin level only and only Retail Cloud System Administrator can access.
